Easy Spring Home Decor Ideas

Sunny days and spring blooms are here! Now's the time to give your home a boost. Here are some easy ways to refresh your home's decor and shop locally.


Spruce Up Your Front Porch

Update Your Lighting 

A quick way to literally brighten your home is to start using LED light bulbs. There are many different types and they  convert 95% energy into light. In contrast, incandescent light bulbs only convert 10% of energy into light and the rest is wasted as heat. So you can reduce your utility bill while making your home feel more cheery.


When examining the lighting in a particular room, be sure to look at any ways you might be able to rearrange things to let in more natural light. This will make smaller spaces feel more spacious. Replace heavier winter drapery with lighter curtains to ensure you're letting in as much sunlight as possible.


Use Colors Strategically

Never underestimate the power of color. From soft pinks and yellows to bold pops of cobalt blue and magenta, a room's decor can really set the tone.
